The Junior Operation Geologist shall, in cooperation with the Operation Geologist Manager, coordinate exploration and appraisal of subsurface geological operation activitites and make appropratie decisions during drilling operations.
Location: Stavanger
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Geological well prognosis, including pressure forecast
- Collaborate with drilling on Geological/Drilling program and Final well reports
- Quick look well evaluations
- Manage subsurface operation
- Daily reporting to Eni Norge/HQ, partners, NPD
- Evaluation of service contractors
Main Tasks
- Preparation of geological well program
- Follow up assigned contracts including invoice certification.
- Execute approved operation during drilling. Collaborate with Reservoir in petrophysical evaluation and preparation, execution and interpretation of well testing.
- Interpretation of well data during and after the completion of the well and coordinate the final well reporting including license presentations.
- Follow-up operated and non-operated drilling activities
- Daily reporting to HQ information system
- Ensure proper handling, reporting and storage of physical and digital exploration well data and information in accordance with regulations.
Education
Master degree or equivalent
Languages
Good skills in English and Norwegian. Fluent oral and written skills.
Experience
Functional discipline experience min. 2 years. Experience from offshore as geologist or mud logger.
Personal Competencies
Good communication skills. Be able to collaborate with people with various background (managers, geologists, geophysicists, contractors, offshore workers, licence partners and drillers.
