Subsea development concepts

Operated production for the first time

With production start-up at Marulk in 2012 and Goliat in 2014, Eni Norge is embracing a new role as operator for two producing fields on the Norwegian shelf.

A subsea development concept has been selected for both fields.

Goliat will be developed using eight subsea templates, 22 wells and a floating production facility (FPSO)
Marulk will be developed using a subsea template, with four slots and transport by pipeline to the Norne FPSO

The Goliat field development phase is well underway. Construction of the platform at Ulsan in South Korea has begun.

The subsea templates are in place and onshore construction projects linked to electrification of the platform have begun.

Marulk came on stream 2nd April 2012.

The field is developed to be tied-in directly to existing infrastructure and will make a contribution towards sound resource management in the Norne area.
